	Our unique bottle shape has been inspired from the hexagonal basaltic columns that were used by the Kosraean kings to build their compounds and fortify the island. These naturally occurring basaltic columns and the royal compounds they supported are still standing as reminders of the great past and traditions of the island. The hexagon is the strongest occurring formation found in nature, and the huge basaltic columns used to build the royal compounds of Lelú were brought by canoe from remote parts of the island through navigable canals carved into the island's mangrove rivers, the island's initial "roads." Tropical Waters designers spent many deliberate hours refining a bottle shape that was comfortable in the hand, protective of the bottle's contents, and expressive of the unique character of Kosrae. As these hexagonal columns protected the kings of Lelú, they now protect Lelú Island Spring Water, delivered from paradise to you.
